Breast Cancer Haven Wessex is one of six Breast Cancer Havens who specialise in clinical support, fundraising, marketing & communications and administration. Working for them can be both challenging and extremely rewarding.
At Titchfield they offer advice on practical things like money and work, help combatting stress, exhaustion and nausea, advice on healthy eating and exercise. And above all, there is someone a patient can talk to about their deepest fears.
They have trained professional nurses, therapists, counsellors and advisers listen to the patient’s individual concerns and give them all the practical, emotional and physical support they need in a tailor-made package.
They offer a varied programme of weekly exercise classes, talks, workshops and courses.
The support they offer is free of charge and available in a centre– which is as far away from a hospital environment as you can imagine.
Reporting into the Fundraising Manager they require a Fundraising Assistant to provide administrative support to the Fundraising and Volunteer Teams. The role is permanent and based in Titchfield near Fareham.
Key Features of the Role:
Working in a small fundraising team covering Community, Events, Corporates Trusts and challenge events you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the whole team with specific emphasis on volunteers.
You will also provide high quality administrative support to meet the day to day admin needs of the organisation, including; communications, website and social media, data management and ensuring effective office systems are in place.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
The successful candidate will need to be well organised, able to demonstrate good IT skills and be an effective communicator with a broad range of people.
