Job Title: Maintenance Technician (HQ5727)

Hours: 0800 - 1600 Monday to Friday
A Maintenance Technician is needed to perform testing and repair of electrical equipment with a leading, city-based cleaning company. The role consists of electrical maintenance, monitoring, cleaning and repair of equipment, asset management and facility maintenance tasks as needed. Candidates need to be proven safe around electrics, but this role does not require formal qualifications. Maintenance Technicians will have a friendly attitude and demonstrate a strong commitment to their colleagues, clients and the business. A suitable candidate will need to have strong organizational skills, have a “can-do” attitude and be able to communicate efficiently to clients and colleagues alike.
Applications from ex-military personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy and Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
- To maintain company equipment on full working order by repairing and servicing electrical cleaning equipment
- Perform appliance testing and maintain an accurate asset electrical register.
- Communicate repair/test status to managers.
- Carry out any general maintenance duties within the office
- Occasional travel to sites to test and pick-up equipment
- Monitor stock and source/purchase spares and parts
- Comply with the health and safety training and to seek advice and verification of any points you are unclear of
- Comply with the Environment Policy and the company’s commitment towards protecting the environment whilst at work
Qualifications and Experienced Required
Essential:
- Full/Clean Driving Licence
- Proven history of working safely around electrical equipment
- Experience in electrical repairs
- Computer literate
- Proficiently speak and write in English
Desirable (training provided if needed)
- Experience in PAT testing

Salary: £24,000 per annum
Hours: Full time - Permanent: 0800 – 1600 Monday to Friday
Benefits: 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays (two days added after 6-month probation)
