A specialist in providing service solutions in the tertiary healthcare sector, our client is looking for medical and/or individuals specialised in trauma, to join their clinical support team for the London area. The Medical Devices Technician assists the theatre team on behalf of the healthcare company supplying the equipment and implants for specific operations. In addition, the clinical support staff will provide technical assistant and medical support when necessary. The right person will ideally have a degree level qualification and knowledge in the area of major trauma, however training will be provided.
Applications from suitably experienced ex-military personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy or Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventative maintenance on all devices, trouble shoot instrument issues in the theatre, inspection of the instruments and document their functionality
Inspect and maintain instrument sets so that they are always in good working order and ready for use, document repairs and arrange replacement equipment
Ensure that COSHH, HTM and all applicable Health & Safety standards and requirements are met at all times by the employees, servants and agents
First line maintenance, the inspection, troubleshooting/replacement of devices used within the facility
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and adhere to hospital policies.
