The Company and the Role:
An award-winning luxury 4 Star, 1 rosette Hotel is seeking a full-time permanent Kitchen Porter, set in the heart of Cheshire surrounded by beautiful countryside with its own leisure activities.
The Hotel has 3 eating outlets from its champagne bar offering light snacks and cream teas, a relaxed brassiere serving lunch to a formal 1 rosette restaurant for the evening dinner. With the capacity and suburb surroundings they also accommodate many weddings and conferences throughout the year
The Hotel is part of a small chain of well-known and established destination resorts located across the English Counties, in areas known for their natural beauty, relaxing and calming environments.
Key Features of the Role:
A Kitchen Porter is one of the most important roles within any catering establishment, you are the back bone of the kitchen. Without a reliable, efficient and determined Kitchen Porter the chefs will struggle to produce the quality that the guest deserves.
One of the main roles as a Kitchen Porter is to be fully aware of the health and Hyenine regulations, chemicals and cleaning products. You are treated as the “Head Chef” of cleaning and its your responsibility to make sure it his followed strictly throughout the kitchen
Knowledge and Skills:
Good knowledgeable of all chemicals, cleaning products and hazards as you will be using these on a daily basis.
You will be required to collect and washing up of pots and pans that have been used for cooking, cleaning food preparation areas and equipment and collecting and cleaning crockery and cutlery.
Able to follow instructions and cleaning schedules so good communicational skills is required.
Have good knowledge of storage and stock rotation as you may be required to check and store deliveries.
Must be a trustworthy person as the kitchen porter is normally the last to be left in the kitchen and trusted to leave the kitchen in a good state ready for the next day

National Minimum Wage rate of £7.83 per hour. If you are under 25 years of age then the hourly rate of pay will be as per the NMW pay scale.
