The Company and the Role:
Amazing Recovery Technician opportunity with an award-winning Telecommunications business in a regional office based in the Bristol area. This is a permanent role offering 24/7 business recovery technical support.
You will ensure that the Business Recovery centre is presentable and operationally fit of purpose at all times.
You will also be responsible for any technical support customers require during rehearsals and invocation.
The Company requires you to attend Pre-Test meetings and to issue appropriate documentation, as well as complete Pre and Post Test documentation as well as following up on problem resolution.
The Company USP is to provide flexibility technical support to its customers nationally, which will require relocatable invocation response to customer sites in the service area.
Key Features of the Role:
Responsible for Risk Management of contracted obligations versus site capability.
Manage implementation of services for new customers, including installation co-ordination of hosted IT and communications.
Provide fail-over (multiple invocation) resource to other Recovery Centres in the Service Zone.
Ensure the functionality of all site facilities inc. air-conditioning, lighting, UPS, generator etc.
Provide out-of-hours on-call support for site facilities maintenance, as part of a 24 hour on-call standby rota basis.
Maintain technical site guide and site user guide documentation, general upkeep and maintenance of all building infrastructure and facilities.
Knowledge and Skills:
As a Recovery Technician you must have the following knowledge, skills and experience to be considered for the role, and this must be detailed on your CV:
Intel / Windows desktop support including use of Symantec Ghost
Current knowledge of Networks, Switches and Routes
Current knowledge of Windows Server operating systems
Exposure to voice and data communications
Proven fault finding and diagnostic skills
Ability to participate in out of hours call out rota
Ability to work under own initiative
What’s on Offer?
Basic salary is up to £24,000 per annum.
Working hours are 37.5 hours per week, with the requirement to participate in an out-of-hours call out rota.
25 days holiday + bank holidays + additional 1 day’s holiday for every year worked up to 30 days holiday maximum.
The option to buy up to an extra 5 holiday days.
