Forces Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for an exciting expanding technology-based company, seeking an enthusiastic individual to join thier team responsible for the application and customer support of their electronics and software technology in the fatigue test systems industry. Our client provides electronic hardware and software to control their own in-house servo-hydraulic control system and signal conditioning.
Applications from ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide an exceptional service in assisting and supporting our customers in the technical application of our servo-controllers and software, occasionally via remote connection to customer’s test systems.
- Develop and provide technical training on our products to customers.
- Test our products in our own test facilities for quality control and to enhance understanding.
- Provide product demonstrations to prospective new customers.
- Occasional electrical installation, commissioning and training of our products on customer sites
- Perform site surveys and design electrical interfaces between the customers test rig and our control systems and signal conditioning.
- Working within a small but agile team: flexibility and delivery within tight timescale
Experience:
- Practical knowledge and experience of electronics
Desirable Experience:
Hands-on experience in the following would be an added benefit:
- Some exposure to the integration/ interfacing of electronic control systems with mechanical servohydraulic test systems.
- Knowledge of transducers, signal conditioning, their interconnection and calibration procedures
- Knowledge of servo-hydraulic fatigue / durability test systems
- ISO 9001 quality systems procedures ï‚· Customer facing activities providing technical support
Skills:
- Practical hands-on skills with electronic and mechanical equipment
- Ability to make up connection cables and small electronic circuit boards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organised work ethic with considerable attention to detail, including planning, progress reporting and documentation.
Qualifications:
Essential
Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
Salary: Negotiable (Dependant on experience)
