The Company and the Role:
The company is a leading Food to Go manufacturer offering a national delivery service to retail convenience and catering and hospitality customers.  They are currently seeking a New Business Development Manager to further their client base within the Home Counties e.g. Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Middlesex, Berkshire, East Oxfordshire, Surrey and North Hampshire, ie. typically within 50 mile radius of High Wycombe The position is permanent and home based.
They are currently repositioning themselves developing added value healthy options and a food to go solution across both retail convenience and foodservice sectors.
This role of New Business Development Manager is a new role because of planned growth and the successful candidate will focus primarily on winning new business within an emphasis cost sector e.g. contract catering, education and healthcare sectors.
You will work to achieve area goals and sales, identify category gaps, set objectives and successfully secure profitable new sales.

Key Features of the Role:
New role as part of the Company`s strategy to increase business
Research your area and go out and win new business.
Establish strong relationships both externally to include suppliers and internally to maintain business and achieve business goals and targets.
To achieve sales and margin targets based on agreed commercial plan.
Win and retain profitable new business in line with company standards.
Have an effective journey plan to ensure appropriate levels of regular contact to achieve targets with planned objectives and outputs for each call.
Represent our client in the best possible light at all times.
Ensure account agreed KPI`s are met or exceeded.

Knowledge and Skills:
The successful candidate will be an experienced Business Development Manager with extensive knowledge and experience of either  the foodservice sector or contract catering sector or retail convenience sector.
Significant experience of the chilled / Food to Go sector would be extremely useful.
You will have a \"hunter\" style mentality to grow the business on a day to day basis and you will be tenacious, self - motivated and ideally living in one of the following areas: Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, East Oxfordshire, Berkshire., Middlesex, North Hampshire, West London or Buckinghamshire.
You will be a \"foodie\", a confident presenter with good foodservice or retail convenience industry knowledge and the ability to build strong foundations with customers.
You will need to be highly self-motivated person to achieve the goals and targets, able to work efficiently and independently within time constraints and ability to influence others. 
Ideally you will have a thorough, in-depth knowledge of client, market and sector trends specific to the contract catering sector and ideally a good knowledge of other cost sectors.
You should have well developed IT/ PC skills (including Excel), and you must be able to interpret data and information in various formats.
You will be numerate, have excellent presentation and communication skills, be able to communicate at all levels, and be decisive, assertive and persuasive.
You will be innovative and demonstrate originality and creativity in solving problems and meeting the needs of the clients.
You will enjoy a high level of autonomy and therefore must be highly self-motivated to achieve agreed goals.
You will have strong negotiating skills and able to manage your own time effectively.
You will have the ability to develop and communicate sound commercial arguments and have a thorough understanding of the cost drivers and their impact on the Company`s operations and the customer.
A full driving licence is a prerequisite. Occasional overnight stays away from home.
The successful candidate will also be required to have the flexibility to work extra hours in line with the business needs.
