Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Redditch

This Company is seeking a canddiate with drive, enthusiasm and hands on engineering competence, to become fully conversant with all rolling mill and presswork process machninery.
This will eventually lead to the successful candidate taking ownership of the day to day mechanical maintenance engineering issues as well as inclduing preventative maintenance schedules and process and efficiency improvements.
Job responsibilities
Roll Changes 50% of time
Rolling mill Maintenance 10%
Press Maintenance 10%
Machine Service Contract 10%
Measurement/ Standard 10%
Stores Control 5%
Infrastructure service Contract 5%
Initial Key responsibilities will include
Planning/ developing and undertaking scheduled machine maintenance
Creating/ developing maintenance procedures
Maintaining control of STL consumables for G10/ G20
Responding to breakdowns and engineering issues
Mechanical fault diagnosis
Equipment repair/ improvements
Liaising with assisting and supervising service contractors
Draft and manufacture of or sourcing and purchasing of specialist components and equipment
Creating and maintaining machinery component drawings
Creating Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P)

Totally team oriented
Extremely strong mechanical reasoning and understanding
Able to interpret drawings/ echematics
Strong metal maching experience (Lathes, Millers, Grinders etc)
CAD Experience (PREF Solidworks)
Competent intermediate Microsoft Excel and Out Outlook User
Must be able to work safely, efficiently and effectively in a production environment
Good oral and written communication skills
Proven time management skills
Project management experience
