Patternmaker
Our client is now looking for an experienced pattern maker to join a long established family run firm. Your role will be to design and fit running systems, create jigs and fixtures from castings or drawings, bench and finish newly cut patterns and re-furbish or repair existing patterns
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop new running systems
Analyse existing running systems and alter if required
Create drilling jigs from castings or drawings
bench new CNC cut patterns
Qualifications and Experience
Worked in foundry environment
Understand sand foundry processes
Have a good understanding of patterns and moulding
Good communication skills
Experienced with all metals, resin and wood machining
Ensure all departmental TDL quality procedures are implemented and maintained
Maintain and where possible, improve agreed quality standards to ISO9001
Ensure that codes of safe working practice are implemented and obeyed by all personnel within sphere of responsibillity
Ensure all accidents are rported and recorded in the accident book
Ensure all plant and equipment is maintained and operated in such a manner as to meet the Companys obligations under the Terms of the Environment Protection Act
Maintain and if possible improve agreed environmental standards to ISO14001
