Job Title: Storekeeper (JSC) POSITION ID: STK813 Entity: ASPIRE DEFENCE SERVICES LIMITED (ADSL) Location: Warminster Reports to: Stores Supervisor (ASSU792)
Key Purpose of the Role:
To assist the Military account holder to account and maintain all materiel held within a Garrison store on behalf of the Authority’s in conjunction with their current regulations
Key Responsibilities: • Collection and delivery of stores to / from units / depots/ depts. / civilian agencies & light porterage when required. • Carry out monthly inspections as required and maintain an auditable record. • Administer the process for fault reporting for equipment held on account. • Assist in the issuing, demanding and back loading of stores materiel. • Assist in stock checks. • Assist other Stores Keepers when required. • Assist in providing and maintaining an audit trail for all Authority’s inspections. • Ensure the stores areas are kept clean, tidy and free from hazards. • To ensure that all materiel held within the store is secured and kept in a clean and serviceable condition. • Any other reasonable task as directed by the Stores Supervisor. Qualifications Essential: • NVQ 2 Distribution Storehouse and Warehouse Operations or equivalent. • Clean Driving Licence B Category.
Experience & Knowledge:
Essential: • Good communication skills. • A good team member, able to prioritise his/her own work as well as provide assistance with the work of others when required. • Be flexible in approach and diligent in meeting deadlines. • Hard working and flexible. • Basic understanding of MS Word & Excel
Desirable: • Knowledge of the MoD accounting system, presently Management of the Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI). • Knowledge of the Joint Asset Management and Engineering Solution (JAMES) • Have a basic understanding of the Authority’s current regulations. • Ex Forces Storekeeper. • Fork Lift Licence.
