The Company and the Role:
Amazing permanent General Manager opportunity in a sustainable, established, professional, award winning fresh food restaurant and bar, managing and supporting the daily service, based in Winchester.
You will lead and develop the team, working closely with the Assistant Manager and Head Chef, to ensure that all customers receive exceptional service.
You will need to share the Companies passion for great food and you’ll have previous experience in a similar role, leading a large restaurant team.
The venue was the first of its kind to be opened outside of the brands homes town where they had built up a worldwide brand name and reputation. The restaurant sticks to its coastal heritage, producing simply cooked fresh fish and seafood dishes.

Key Features of the Role:
As General Manager you will maintain a regular presence on the floor, managing customers and the team.
Developing the restaurant business plans with clear objectives, identifying demand, competition, financial projections and long-term resource requirements.
Working closely with all parts of the business, marketing, finance, purchasing, supply chain, human resources and senior or executive management teams.
Monitoring and maintaining safety compliance standards to ensure a safe, secure and healthy environment.
Delivering and overseeing the employment process, recruitment, employment relations and guiding managers to deliver effective training.
Knowledge and Skills:
You need to be an accomplished Restaurant General Manager having managed a branded, busy and award-winning restaurant.
You will need to have managed and trained front and back of house teams of people.
You will need to be able to handle reports and put together business plans, P&L, forecasts etc. Using Excel and other MS Office systems.
You must be able to engage with guests on the restaurant floor.
You must be able to effectively work within internal and external structures.
You must be competent monitoring and maintaining safety compliance standards for the venue and staff.
You must be able to get to Winchester via car or public transport.
