The Company and the Role:
Amazing Tier 3 Network Support Engineer opportunity with an award-winning national Telecommunications business based in Lancashire. This permanent role will have you working in a T3 deskside team.
Reporting to the Network Support Tier 3 Team Leader for enterprise networking teams, you will provide technical response, fix to incidents, changes, service requests, small scale projects and BIS for new customers.
While the role will primarily be Monday to Friday 9:00 till 17:30, the company operates a 24 x 7 x 365 cover via an `on call` rota, which you will be required to support.
Using your previous technical experience, multi-vendor background and proven ability to perform technical diagnostics, and administration, across the team`s product portfolio, delivering vendor network solutions at Cisco Gold Partner Standards.
The role expects you to be able to offer technical leadership, define and document best practice to other support tiers.

Key Features of the Role:
As a Tier 3 Network Support Engineer you will communicate with customers on a highly technical level, providing immediate resolution where possible, ensuring tickets are managed and progressed correctly.
Building rapport and maintaining strong technical relationships with internal and external stakeholders, by applying yourself to a diverse range of work, meeting and exceeding expectations, learning and understanding new technologies and achieving objectives.
Providing 3rd Line support and resource levels across the enterprise-based portfolio.
Carrying out proactive maintenance, config backup and capacity management. Participate in Change Management process, attending CAB meetings.
Maintaining your technical skills and upskilling to cover all relevant technologies if and when required.

Knowledge and Skills:
As a Tier 3 Network Support Engineer you will need to be able to competently undertake operational duties on complex Enterprise Networks.
You must have an understanding liaising with Vendors at TAC level, and be aware of the process and standard of diagnostics required.
Technical skills you must have are a hands on implementation and troubleshooting of complex multi-vendor networking solutions, from a combination of Cisco, Extreme, Juniper, HP, Checkpoint Security.
You must have current Wi-Fi Solutions experience including Aruba Clearpass and Airwave, Cisco WLC, Meraki, ISE and Prime, Ubiquiti Wi-Fi solutions.
You must have Nexus Experience (5, 7 series and 9K experience and or certification).
You must have Load Balancing technologies such as F5 and ACE.
It is also mandatory for you to be Security Cleared.
Working towards or have completed your CCIE or equivalent.
Knowledge of Network analytical tools such as Wireshark and Service Now ITSM system, experience of network management tools and F5 Configuration and fault finding. ITIL Foundation.

What`s on Offer?
Basic salary ranging from £50,000 to £60,000 per annum , which will be assessed at interview and based on experience plus other contributing factors.
Core working hours 9:00 till 17:30 Monday to Friday, however there may well be some requirements to work outside of these hours.
25 days holiday + bank holidays + additional 1 day`s holiday for every year worked up to 30 days holiday maximum.
The option to buy up to an extra 5 holiday days.
