The Company and the Role:
Amazing Field Telecoms Engineer (Voice) opportunity with award-winning national Telecommunications business based in South Devon. This permanent role will have you working in a lead role, both complex and diverse, from Monday to Friday 8:30 to 17:30.
You will be working in an advanced level position, recognising your skills and experience gained and proven above other field engineers in the telecoms and datacoms sector.
The key to this role will be your proven skills across specified technologies, with knowledge and ability to perform a lead role, dealing with complex escalations or projects.
Due to the companies ever changing technology portfolio you will need to enhance and develop skills in new technologies, with a minimum amount of guidance and training.
The company works with a vast array of systems, some of which you may be untrained in, but the expectation is for you to get stuck in while receiving the company`s full back-up support and expertise from their in-house specialists.

Key Features of the Role:
As an accomplished Field Telecoms Engineer (Voice) you will be able to install and maintain various PABX`s and associated application, hardware, software or Hosted Voice Solutions.
You will be required to be part of an out of hour`s rota and be willing to undertake overtime to meet customer and company needs.
You will need to be aware of and meet the KPI`s and objectives set by your Line Manager, this will include a combination of lone working and team work.
You will need to be aware of and comply with the documented quality system as it applies to your role (ISO Audits).
You will be required to attend (where possible) all company and manager briefings, and to adhere to the Company Dress Code while you are out in the field.

Knowledge and Skills:
As Field Telecoms Engineer (Voice) you must have an understanding of customer Infrastructure or LAN, a knowledge of 3rd party applications or installations and high-end maintenance.
You must be experienced in the installation and maintenance of various PABX equipment and associated applications and or Hosted Voice Solutions.
You must also have a general telecom industry knowledge, an enhanced knowledge of software relating to installed hardware, and good written English and Maths.
As well as exceptional interpersonal skills and customer facing communication skills, you must also have excellent fault-finding skills on systems and networks.
You must have Operating system installation and rebuilds skills, as well as being able to perform invasive component repairs, and copy, backup and reload software onto specific devices.
You must be able to lead installations, maintenance and IMACS, have problem management skills, and be able to complete documentation and paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.

What`s on Offer?
Basic salary for a Field Engineer (Voice) ranges from £27,000 up to £32,000, which will be assessed at interview and based on experience plus other contributing factors.
Core working hours Monday to Friday 8:30 to 17:30, however there may well be some requirements to work on an out of hour`s rota and to work overtime.
