Description :
A large and established logistics company is seeking multiple Class 1 HGV/LGV Drivers. The Driver will ideally have a C+E licence, be CPC trained and have at least two years’ experience of driving related vehicles. This is a full-time, permanent, night shift position.
Applications from suitably experienced ex-military personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, or Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Main Duties:
- Trailer trunking to and from the Midlands areas
- Dropping and swapping of trailers at different locations
- Supermarket DC deliveries
Person Specification:
- Hold a valid category C+E (class 1) license
- Previous experience in trunking – drop and swap trailer work
- Truck checks, defect reporting
- Loading bay experience
- Ability to demonstrate a professional and safe driving ability
- Hold a valid UK Digital Tacho Drivers Card
- Have a good knowledge EU Drivers` Hours and working time directive knowledge - candidates will be tested on these requirements in detail.
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Good communication skills
- Valid CPC training card
