This Company due to growth is now seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to ensure that Mechanical Design activities are carried out competently by the Mechanical design team and align with the companys business plan and strategic direction.

Job Description
Defining and producing 2D and 3D mechanical drawings through to full manufacturing models with 3D CAD Design software, producing details of specifications and outlining designs for production purposes to the required customer specification
Contribute to the growth and success of the business by overseeing the management, planning and organisation of the mechanical design team activities to support the companys business plan.
Discussing and solving technical design issues and queries with production departments, suppliers and customers.
Ensuring all technical documentation and information produced is files and maintained in accordance with procedures and processes
Knowledge and Skills
Interpreting customer specifications
Ability to define and produce mechanical designs through to full manufacturing models and drawings using 3D CAD Software
Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic circuits, components and assembly
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Strong leadership and management skills
Logical thinking
Strong numeracy and IT Skills, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and outlook packages
Works well under pressure and as part of a team
Work effectively at all levels internally and externally
Organisation and problem solving skills
