The Company and the Role:
Award winning Company looking for a qualified Self-Employed Mortgage Advisor, offering whole of market access across a vast range of Mortgage and Insurance based products. Home based, with a national reach. Ideally Southern based. The position can be considered permanent.
As a Fully Qualified Self-Employed Mortgage Advisor or Broker you will have leads provided to you and you will be expected to call each lead to fact find and assess current or future needs and opportunity.
The Company has over 50 years of experience and is one of the UK`s leading mortgage and insurance providers.
With supporting offices across the South Coast and London and a dedicated award-winning team of qualified advisors to assist you with all mortgage applications and paperwork.
It is your job to assess the need of each individual, source the relevant and best fit mortgage and insurance solution products, and then present them in an easy to understand, and financially recognised ethical standard, taking into account the budget of the customer, based on detailed analysis of their income and outgoings, both current and future.
Key Features of the Role:
You will be working over the telephone and face to face using the Company`s current database of leads, as well as visiting customers and business clients to go through more complex mortgage solutions face to face.
Dealing with a variety of Estate Agents, Solicitors, Accountants, Corporate Companies and large Client Banks.
You will have access to the whole of market and over 6,500 mortgage deals and relevant insurance products, using 150 banks and building societies.
Offering Mortgage Advice on products for 1st Time Buyers, Re-mortgages, Home Movers, Buy to Let, Commercial, Self Employed Professionals and Contractors, as well as New Builds and Shared Ownerships.
It is up to you to make sure you adhere to all the legal guidelines, regulations, processes and policies laid down, when giving out your advice, as you are the Mortgage Advisor and responsible for the business you book throughout the whole process.
Knowledge and Skills:
As a Self-Employed Mortgage Advisor and Broker you must be CeMAP qualified.
You must have worked in a Mortgage Advisory or Brokerage role in your current or previous position.
You must be emotionally robust to handle a pressurised working environment where you will be expected to work to financial service regulations, guidelines and company processes in a strict and ethical manner, managing service level agreements and deadlines.
Any additional qualifications above and beyond CeMAP would be an added bonus and confirmation of your financial qualifications will be required, along with valid ID, background checks will be carried out as part of the employment process.
Clean driving licence is required for use of a Company car or your own transport so you can visit customers.
What`s on Offer?
A great opportunity for a qualified Self-Employed Mortgage Advisor, you will be assessed at interview, as to your level of skill, knowledge, experience and business fit. If successful your Self Employed OTE will range from £60,000 to £80,000 per annum.
Commission in the Self-Employed role will vary from a 40% - 50% split with the Company, as they will process the sales documentation and your lead generation, assisting you throughout the process. Obviously OTE will vary depending on your ability once in the job.
As a Self-Employed Mortgage Advisor you will not have specific contracted working hours or need to work at any of the local offices on a daily basis, but there will be the requirement to drop off any mortgage paperwork or documentation for compliance and audit checks.
Additional benefits will consist of potential funding to get you started as a Self-Employed worker, other benefits that the company offers employed staff may not all be eligible to you as a self-employed worker.
