The world’s largest manufacturer of high-technology cables and systems for energy and telecommunications is now looking for a Process Engineer to join its team. Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, as a member of the Process Engineering Team, the Process Engineer will support and improve all aspects of the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
Apply engineering solutions in order to support and improve all aspects of the manufacturing process using continuous improvement methodologies, to ensure product quality, as well as material and labour efficiency.
The job holder will provide technical support to Production and be “on call” for process related issues.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for process instructions, efficiency projects, process defect management, and be instrumental in introducing new materials, processes and products.
Key Qualifications and Experience
Educated to Degree/HND level in an Engineering or Science discipline.
Be able to demonstrate an understanding of cable manufacturing methods and techniques.
Have proven analytical and problem solving skills within a manufacturing process environment.
Have a hands-on approach to your work.
To optimise manufacturing and quality at the lowest costs, knowledge of manufacturing methodologies and improvement techniques such as Lean Manufacturing, Kanban systems, Six Sigma, TOC, SMED, DMAIC, etc. would be an advantage.
A strong team player, with excellent communication and inter-personal skills, you will have the drive and determination to achieve objectives without compromising standards.
