Our Client is now seeking a Yard/Materials & Plant Supervisor / Manager due to continued growth of the Comapny.

Overall Job

Depot Stores, Materials and Plant Manager is to drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes. This candidate will oversee all daily operations of the depot stores, the depot material requirements as required by the monthly weekly project planners. 

To manage all depot plant and vehicle complaince on a daily and weekly basis. Ensuring that policies and procedures are followed. Able to develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity at the depot. This is a manual and clerical job with some supervision in the shipping, receiving and recording of materials in a medium regional depot. Work of this class encompasses the responsibility regarding the physical handling of stores stock and inventory control in the shipping and receiving function. Receipt, storage and distribution of goods.

Main Duties/ Responsibilities

Plan, organize, direct and run day to day operations to exceed our customers expectations

Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimising unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards

Be responsible for production output, product quality and on time shipping

Allocate resources effectively

Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives

Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions

Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and manage and develop staff

commit to safety procedures

Collect and analyse data

Stay up to date with the latest management best practices and concepts

Essential Skills

Educated with an ability to achieve a grade C in English and Maths at GCSE

Experience of Health & Safety requirements working in a workshop practice

Commitment to continuing personal and professional development

Excellent organisational skills, resourceful and solution driven

A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to Multi task, prioriitising workloads to work to tight deadlines

Ability to work independently or in a team

Clear communication skills - oral and written

Consultation and negotiation skills

Highly motivated and possessing a resilience to work under pressure

Positive, personable and optimistic
