The Company and the Role:
Amazing and permanent Mobile Engineer opportunity in Southampton working for an independent family run national distributor, repairing and maintaining the business’s service contract equipment.
The Company supplies high quality industrial cleaning machinery to its national client base.
You will be repairing and maintaining the high-quality machinery provided by the company to customers either on pre-set maintenance contracts, or as repairs are required adhoc.
The Company has been established for over 20 years and the family run business has grown from strength to strength by developing strong relationships with its customers and suppliers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has an interest or further education in Engineering and wants to start their career path, or for some who is an excellent Mobile Engineer and wants a fresh start with an established team.
Depending on your experience and transferable skills a bigger basic salary may well be available.
Key Features of the Role:
You will be expected to carry out repairs and maintenance work on industrial cleaning equipment, working on a national client base in your area as an employed member of staff.
You must be reliable and self–motivated, and able to use your electrical and mechanical Mobile Engineer background.
You may be asked to cover large geographical areas using your field based experience.
You will be required to have the skills and knowledge to communicate with customers via telephone and in person, as well as having the ability to create a welcoming environment to clients to ensure they receive a great service.
Supporting the Service Co-ordinator by chasing purchase orders, obtaining diagrams relating to parts, responding to urgent situations.
Prioritising between service visits and call outs, communicating with the customer, keeping them informed of progress and updates.
Knowledge and Skills:
You should have knowledge and experience in a service department role as a Mobile Engineer, however full training and career development is available to someone coming from another Engineering background or further education basis.
You must also be able to use your own initiative and be proactive in all daily duties.
You must have good time management skills and be extremely organised.
You must be a great team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
You must be passionate about doing a great job that will leave a lasting impression, with a robust and can do attitude, demonstrating commitment to exceed expectations and goals.
Full driving licence with no points.
