The Company and the Role:
Amazing permanent corporate or commercial Multi Drop Van Driver opportunity in Southampton with an independent family run national distributor. You will be provided with all the tools and skills you need to be successful.
The Company supplies high quality cleaning and janitorial supplies and industrial cleaning machinery to its national client base.
You will be responsible for the delivery of cleaning items and equipment to their London based business clients, traveling from Southampton once each day.
The Company has been established for over 20 years and the family run business has grown from strength to strength, by developing strong relationships with its customers and suppliers.
Key Features of the Role:
You will need to use your professional corporate or commercial Multi Drop Van Driver experience, as well as your knowledge of London routes and surrounding areas, to be efficient and effective in this role.
You must have a ‘can do’ attitude and be capable of working unsupervised, as well as be willing to commute to the Southampton depot every morning to pick up the pre-pack van, and your delivery route.
You will drive a company vehicle (Mercedes Sprinter, long wheel base and high roof 3.5 Tonnes along with a company mobile and fuel card.
You will need to commit to early starts, with shifts starting and leaving the Southampton depot at 5:00 and finishing back in Southampton about 14:00 (for a de-brief).
Working days are Monday to Friday, as this is a full-time permanent position.
This role will require manual handling, lifting and carrying, so you will need to be physically robust to carry out the role.
Knowledge and Skills:
You must have knowledge and experience as a corporate or commercial Multi Drop Van Driver or Courier.
You must live in Southampton or surrounding area and have good knowledge of London routes, having delivered to London based business clients in your current or previous role.
You must have a full UK driving licence.
You must be able to work unsupervised and have good organisational skills, as well as being able to communicate with customers and clients.
What’s on Offer?
Basic salary ranging from £17,500 to £20,000 based on experience and skill set.
