The Company and the Role:
The company is a multi-temperature foodservice wholesaler offering a national delivery service to catering and hospitality customers including contract caterers.  They are currently seeking a Regional Key Account Manager to further their contract caterer and healthcare client base.  The position is permanent and covers the Company`s South East region.

Key Features of the Role:
New role as part of the Company`s strategy to increase business in the Contract Catering and Healthcare sectors
Managing one other sales person
Research the sectors and go out and win new business.
Manage and grow the company`s existing client base.
Establish strong relationships both externally to include suppliers and internally to maintain business and achieve business goals and targets.
Represent our client in the best possible light at all times.
Ensure account agreed KPI`s are met or exceeded.
Carry out category reviews to change customer`s products or seek product innovation to achieve targets with a high degree of understanding and sympathy to individual customer`s needs and requirements.
Carry out price reviews as scheduled by account with a view to achieving target.
Provide fully detailed product forecasts to Inventory Department as necessary with a view to achieving KPI`s.
Attend and sometimes organise Commercial/Marketing organised events.

Knowledge and Skills:
The successful candidate will be an experienced National  / Key / Regional Account Manager with extensive knowledge and experience of the contract catering sector and ideally other cost sectors e.g.  education, healthcare etc.
Experience of the chilled / Food to Go sector would be extremely useful.
You will be a \"foodie\", a confident presenter with good foodservice  industry knowledge and the ability to build strong foundations with customers.
You will need to be highly self-motivated person to achieve the goals and targets, able to work efficiently and independently within time constraints and ability to influence others. 
The position is home based but you must live within  the London / South East area.
You will have a thorough, in-depth knowledge of client, market and sector trends specific to the contract catering sector and ideally a good knowledge of other cost sectors,
Highly developed analytical skills are essential, as are well developed IT/ PC skills (including Excel), and you must be able to interpret data and information in various formats.
You will be numerate, have excellent presentation and communication skills, be able to communicate at all levels, and be decisive, assertive and persuasive.
You will be innovative and demonstrate originality and creativity in solving problems and meeting the needs of the clients and the contract catering sector.
You will enjoy a high level of autonomy and therefore must be highly self-motivated to achieve agreed goals.
You will have strong negotiating skills and able to manage your own time effectively.
You will have the ability to develop and communicate sound commercial arguments and have a thorough understanding of the cost drivers and their impact on our client`s operations and their customer.
A full driving licence is a prerequisite as there will be a requirement for travel throughout the country at different times.  Occasional overnight stays away from home.
The successful candidate will also be required to have the flexibility to work extra hours in line with the business needs.
