Mechanical Engineer

The purpose of this role is to support Production activites that are carried out competently by the Production team and align with the Company`s business plan and direction.

This involves providing support and assistance for Production operations, including procurement, scheduling and performance of production services on customer sites.

Main Objectives

Mechanical assembly of products to specifications and ability to work through unique challenges using a logical sequence.

Onsite activities to include installation, commissioning, and investigation of failure in services, determine root cause and carry out necessary repair work to meet the customers required specification or standard

Understand hydraulic assembly/circuits and fittings including, hoses, accumulators, servo valves, solenoid valves

Good housekeeping at all times and adherence to health and Safety practicies in accordance with company policies and procedures

Involvement in projects and contributing to the improvement of production processes, competencies and systems. Providing accurate time frames for task completion

Ensure quality procedure and policies are being followed

Demonstrate a willingness to perform other tasks

Support management activities

Produce accurate written documentation

Create internal and external correspondance

File and store wriiten documentation

Collaborate with other departments

Engage in annual performance appraisals

Organise own time (information, tools, materials, suppliers, customers)

Develop and maintain relationships

Communicate effectively

Implementation and maintenance of quality systems

Safe working practices

Knowledge and Skills

Abiltity to read and interpret hydraulic circuit diagrams

Knowledge of mechancial and hydraulic components and assembly

Experience with commissioning and testing hydraulic systems

Operation of general workshop equipment

Strong numeracy and IT Skills, with good knowledge of Office and Outlook Packages

Logical Thinking

Works well under pressure

Organising and Problem solving
