An ambitious and large progressive company that delivers technology/IT solutions is seeking a Security Consultant to join their friendly and accomplished teams based in Guernsey. Working alongside the Group Security Manager on both internal and external projects providing consultation in Cyber Security, the Security Consultant will have a proven background in information security, a drive to remain informed on developments, and have an easy communication style to deliver client solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Consult and design security solutions tailored to a deep understanding of customer needs.
- Deployment and management of network and endpoint security solutions
- Demonstrating core experience of a broad range of consultancy skills
- Liaising with client management at all levels, co-ordinating client work and identifying requirements
- Conducting security assessments
- Conducting and documenting audits of client compliance to industry standards
- Developing and applying information security processes and controls
- Defining & producing client policies, procedures, processes & other documentation as required
- Working directly with Group Security Manager on internal security strategy and projects.
- Taking ownership for own career management, seeking opportunities for continuous development of personal capability and improved performance contribution
- Actively supporting the Client’s business strategy, plans and values
Person Specification:
Essential:
- CISSP, CISM or equivalent certification – or working towards
- Good knowledge of Information Security across a range of business as well as technologies
- A good understanding of computer networking
- A good understanding and background in IT technologies and practices
- Strong communication skills
- Proven experience in building and maintaining exceptional relationships with clients
- The ability to work with a degree of independence
- Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative
- Good analytical / problem solving skills
Desirable:
- Experience in implementing ISO27001
- Vendor Network/Endpoint security qualifications
