An award winning and market-share leading chilled savoury pastry food manufacturer is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to complement an existing passionate and enthusiastic team. As a Mechanical Engineer you will proactive, and deliver planned-preventative maintenance to ensure the equipment is able to meet capacity demand and efficiency targets. The successful candidate will also provide reactive maintenance ensuring minimum machine downtime. As a Mechanical Engineer you will also assist with the introduction of new equipment to a market leading production facility. To be successful you will be educated to at least City & Guilds level 3 or equivalent in a relevant qualification, and committed to continuous professional development. Key Responsibilities:
- Proactive, planned-preventative maintenance to ensure existing equipment is able to meet capacity demand and efficiency targets.
- Reactive maintenance to ensure minimal machine downtime.
- Identifying and delivering against opportunities to implement changes and continuous improvement projects to maximise plant efficiencies.
- Assisting with the introduction of new equipment to a market leading production facility as part of our continued drive for innovation.

- Ability to work as part of a team or unsupervised.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experienced Required:
- Experienced Mechanical Engineer.
- Ability to read and fault find on a mechanical system.
- Good knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Good knowledge of Servo Motors.
- Strong diagnostic skills.
- Educated to at least a City & Guilds level 3 or NVQ level 3 in a relevant qualification.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment (desirable).
