The purpose of this role is for the Electronics Production Engineer to support production activities that are carried out competently by the production team and align with the Companys business plan and strategic direction.
This involves providing support and assistance for production operations, including procurement, scheduling and performance of production services on customer sites or at the Brierley Hill site.
Main Objectives
Supporting the production team through the manufacture and wiring of control panels, alpha systems and other electrical products
Ability to read and interpret schematic wiring drawings
Recording and allocating serial numbers to projects, jobs and parts to maintain accurate identification of machine componets in accordance with company procedures
Collaborating with Design teams, checking technical drawings ready for assembly of electrical products, discussing and resolving any issues or errors
Ordering electrical component supplies and stock maintenance
Knowledge and skills
Ability to read and interpret electrical/ electronic wiring diagrams
Knowledge of analogue and digital electronics, components and sensors
Experience with electronic test equipment and procedures
Good practical skills, including the ability to fault find
Strong numeracy and IT skills, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook packages
Logical thinking
Works well under pressure and part of a team
Work effectively at all levels internally and externally
