The Company and the Role:
The company provides expertise in Facilities and Logistics Management and Catering Services Worldwide on Remote Sites, Military and Construction Accommodation Camps, Mining and Energy projects.
They are seeking a Logistics Project Manager- Food to be part of their Bids and Tender department. The position is permanent based in Dubai
Key Features of the Role:
You will contribute to the business development strategy plan providing guidance, input and direction about future growth opportunities Company.
You will provide analytical support when assessing the feasibility of pursuing new business, providing an active contribution in the bid/no bid determination of the opportunities.
You will co-ordinate with all key stake holders based in Dubai and Operations function in the delivery of new contracts to ensure that there is a focus on the business requirements within operations and to ensure understanding of contract/client expectations
You will participate in and develop in the capture management process.
You will take a pro-active role in recommending capture needs for individual business opportunities.
You will travel worldwide to undertake site reviews / site visits in relation to potential food logistics business opportunities.
You will attend Bidders Conferences and Site Visits and promote the company.
You will identify and assess facilities and resource support relevant to the opportunity and provide detailed reports and recommendations.
Knowledge and Skills:
Ideally experienced within international foodservice logistics and warehouse distribution environment covering all aspects from purchasing through to administration to delivery.
Past experience of working in either Africa, Middle East, Afghanistan, Iraq etc is highly beneficial as is working in any remote or isolated location working on UN/DLA/SPV food supply contracts.
You will be flexible, possess initiative and able to pick things up quickly.
Experience of compiling bids and proposals would be advantageous.
Superb inter-personal skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
Finally, you should be IT/PC literate and possess a Drivers Licence and be fluent in English
