HQ5383 Production Manager
Location: Brandon, Suffolk
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE
An exciting opportunity has become available to work for a prestigious and reputable manufacturing company which supplies the housing and construction market with a range of sustainable concrete blocks and masonry products, utilising high levels of recycled material.
As Production Manager you will lead a team of 35 people and be responsible for all aspects of the production process, including quality assurance, output and optimisation of production equipment, ensuring that machines are used properly and operate efficiently. The hours of the role are 6am – 5pm Monday to Friday, however there may be times due to the nature of the role and production demands, where you will need to be flexible. This position requires ‘hands on’ work

Key responsibilities;
- Ensuring excellent quality of product
- Managing the Production process and schedules
- Managing the Production team leaders, production operatives and mechanical engineers
- Planning and overseeing the delivery of raw materials into the business
- Taking charge with Health and Safety: ensuring that all staff and visitors adhere to Health and Safety law and practices
- Liaise with external third parties including: contractors, council representatives and external auditing authorities
- Monitor standards compliance including: ISO9001, ISO 14001 and BES6001
- Ensure production targets are met

Essential;
- Must have Engineering experience
- Have previous managerial/supervisor experience within a Production environment
- Be able to manage a team and delegate objectives
- UK Driving Licence
