Domestic electricians are urgently needed due to the client winning several new contracts in the Hull, East Riding and North Lincolnshire areas. You will use your experience as a domestic electrician to connect, repair and maintain domestic electrical installations. Along with a competitive salary, performance bonuses are also being offered.
Applications from ex-military personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy and Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair electrical installations in accordance with the regulations
- Replace circuits and consumer units including the full rewiring of properties
- Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other statutory legislation
- Strict adherence to company health and safety and operational policies
- Compliance with instructions and directives from line management
- Out of hours call-out duties as per rota requirements
Knowledge, skills and qualifications - essential:
- City & Guilds (C&G) 2391 Periodic Test and Inspection (or equivalent)
- C&G Installation Certificate 2365 (or equivalent)
- 17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
- JIB card holder
- Time served apprenticeship
- Demonstrable previous work related experience
- Diagnostics/fault finding skills
- Accurate measuring and scoping of works
- Good knowledge of current industry practice
- Knowledge/understanding of personal health and safety, method statements and risk assessments
- Problem solving
- Basic computer literacy
- Time management
- Current full UK driving licence
Person Specification:
You should be smart and tidy in appearance with a good health record and a flexible approach to work. You will demonstrate a customer first attitude and be enthusiastic, punctual, self-motivated and able to work without supervision. You will be willing to undertake training as required and will agree to undertake a CRB check.
