This field based role is with a European surveying and geographical measurement company that provides sensor technology, including GPS satellite navigation and laser rangefinders, to allow construction and civil engineering projects to proceed rapidly and with great accuracy. Your role is to install the company’s construction industry Machine Control solutions. This includes after-sales support and servicing, supporting distribution partners in delivering solutions to market, promotion and support of products internally and externally. You must be prepared for extensive travel and days away from home including overnight stays as required. As this is a field-based role your location for this role can be anywhere in the United Kingdom; a vehicle is provided.

Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, calibration and setup of all Machine Control solutions
- Testing, troubleshooting and support of all Machine Control solutions
- Basic system training delivery to new operators after installation
- Technical field support as required
- Provide assistance and 2nd line support to distribution partners for installations
- Document and generate reports as per QA procedures for all technical events and issues
- Become expert in machine control solutions and related positioning sensors
- To fully understand and implement company policies
- Add value to products and services through customer satisfaction focus

Knowledge, skills and qualifications - desirable:
- Construction industry led qualification or work experience equivalent
- Auto electrical training and construction machinery knowledge desirable, but not essential
- Working knowledge of hydraulic control systems and electrical systems including CAN-bus on mechanical systems desirable, but not essential
- Working knowledge of survey/construction instruments (GPS, TPS, Laser) and design and data processing software- preferable, but not essential
- Welding, fabrication and engineering abilities advantageous
- Ability to understand technical or mechanical issues related to construction machinery
- An understanding of UK construction terminology, practices and developments
- Strong sense of urgency, responsibility and accountability
- Aptitude for sensor technology and associated software developments
- Fluent verbal and written English
- A clean UK driving licence
Computer Skills:
- Working experience of using survey applications, design or mapping software suites
- A strong aptitude for technology and associated software developments
- Capable user of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
