Job Details
A leading gas, plumbing and electrical services company requires electricians to install, maintain, service and repair electrical installations, circuits and wiring systems in domestic properties. Electricians will be responsible for the delivery of electrical services across East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire areas. Due to the recent winning of new contracts there are a number of electrician’s posts available with a competitive salary and performance bonuses being offered.
Applications from ex-military personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy and Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair electrical installations in accordance with the regulations
- Replace circuits and consumer units including the full rewiring of properties
- Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other statutory legislation
- Strict adherence to company health and safety and operational policies
- Compliance with instructions and directives from line management
- Out of hours call-out duties as per rota requirements
Knowledge, skills and qualifications - essential:
- City & Guilds (C&G) 2391 Periodic Test and Inspection (or equivalent)
- C&G Installation Certificate 2365 (or equivalent)
- 17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
- JIB card holder
- Time served apprenticeship
- Demonstrable previous work related experience
- Diagnostics/fault finding skills
- Accurate measuring and scoping of works
- Good knowledge of current industry practice
- Knowledge/understanding of personal health and safety, method statements and risk assessments
- Problem solving
- Basic computer literacy
- Time management
- Current full UK driving licence
Person Specification:
You should be smart and tidy in appearance with a good health record and a flexible approach to work. You will demonstrate a customer first attitude and be enthusiastic, punctual, self-motivated and able to work without supervision. You will be willing to undertake training as required and will agree to undertake a CRB check.
