An experienced Senior Software Engineer is required to join a dynamic and exciting company which specialises in industry leading cyber-security software. The successful candidate will have 5+ years commercial development experience in C++, C++11, STL. They will lead by example on all aspects of software development, design (architectural and detailed), project planning and coding. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in multiple aspects of software development, which will enhance the company’s products, and develop new projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, support, training and upskilling of development team members in relation to software development best practices in order to achieve a high performing environment
- Leading by example on all aspects of software development, design (architectural and detailed), project planning, coding (primarily in C++), test and document for platform independent applications.
- Leading and assisting project teams with achieving on-target, quality delivery.
- Providing technical support and product expertise to internal and external customers.
- Management and improvement of processes and adherence to industry standards.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experienced Required:
Essential:
- 5+ years commercial development experience in C++ including C++11 and STL.
- Proven track record in multiple aspects of software development.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent team working skills.
- Passion for learning.
- Self-motivated with a passion for helping others develop.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of development tools such as Jira, Qt and CMake.
- Knowledge of Windows, macOS and Linux operating system.
- Knowledge of networking technologies (routers, switches and firewalls);
- Knowledge of IT security best practices;
- Experience with Unit Testing;
- Experience or understanding of agile and scrum methodologies.
