A position has become available for a Technical Assistant, to provide general technical and logistical assistance to a small team involved in Broadcast Television Engineering. You will work as part of a team of cable and fibre optic engineers, working on sports venue installations and maintenance contracts.
The role will involve extensive and frequent UK travel and working away from base on a weekly basis, involving overnight stays; therefore flexibility in travelling and staying away from home is essential (3 to 4 nights per week).
Applications from ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Marines) will be particularly relevant for this role and are strongly encouraged.
Although on-the-job training is provided as necessary, the ideal candidate will be from a technical background, be technically-minded, educated to at least A-Level or equivalent, and will have an understanding of engineering and electronics, and most importantly be able to take things apart and put them back together.
