As a Registered Nurse this role offers you the opportunity to expand your knowledge and gain experience with a leading provider of specialist care for people with complex physical, mental and neurological needs. The Registered Nurse is a vital part of a small team of nurses and a medical director ensuring that all service users’ health needs are assessed and managed holistically. This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with an interest in mental health, brain injury, behavioral support, epilepsy, neuro-disability or rehabilitation. This position offers you the prospect of further progression as a Registered Nurse with an accredited outstanding healthcare provider within a community based role. There is no shift working involved in this role. There is an on-call element but this is phone-based and rarely requires travel outside normal hours.

Key Responsibilities:
- As part of the Medical Team, to ensure that all service users health needs are known and coordinated effectively
- Developing experience in the following:
- Supporting the Service Manager in assessing and reviewing the needs of current and potential service users
- Ensuring all medical related documentation including policies, protocols and guidelines on managing service users` medical needs are up to date
- Provide advice and support to service users and their families, staff, care managers and other professionals
- Promoting the excellent service the Medical Team offer to primary care teams, neurologists and hospitals
- Understanding how staff monitor and record service users` needs, including the use of alarm systems
- Monitoring therapies delivered to ensure that they are carried out effectively and reviewed regularly
- Be part of a team providing an on-call service for medical emergencies
- Providing training to care staff to enable them to understand service user’s medical needs
Person Specification:
- Nursing Grade Level 5
- An interest in mental health, brain injuries, supporting rehabilitation
- You must be passionate about what you do
- You must have a holistic approach
- You must have great communication skills
- You must be skilled in managing your own workload
- You must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- To comply at all times with company policy and procedures
- To undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade as required
