HGV Technician
£24,960 - £29,120 per annum
Rugby, West Midlands
Permanent (40 hours a week)
Alternate Shifts 07.00am - 15.30pm and 13.30pm - 22.00pm
Inclusive of 30 minutes unpaid break
Alternate Saturdays as and when required paid at the appropriate overtime rate
An opportunity has arisen for a HGV Technician to work for the largest independent Scania dealerships in Europe serving the Midlands and South Wales
The HGV Technician role also encompasses carrying out routin maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to VOSA standard. This HGV Technician should be qualified with Level 2 or Level 3 with Class 1 and be expected to complete the IRTEC Course.

Main Duties and Responsibilites
Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to VOSA standard
Diagnose and rectify all types of faults
Attend disabled vehicles at the roadside or at customer`s premises
Ensure all vehciles worked upon are handles carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on premises
Liaise with parts department to attain parts
Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to
Ensure appropriate clocking is made, all job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness
Maintain a thorough and current product knowledge and attend training courses
Key Skills and Candidate Requirements
Technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician) or proven experience repairing & maintaining vehicles
ADR
Current Driving Licence
LGVHGV Licence
Ability to work within guidelines given and to strict deadlines
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to actively seek solutions to problems
Ability to work as part of a team
Good Verbal communication skills
Excellent customer care skills
Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks
