A leading, independent, end-to-end provider of electricity, gas and water connections to new-build sites is looking for a Project Manager/Engineer. You will need to have experience of working on electrical substations and 11kv and 33kv connections and be able to manage sites under Construction Design & Management (CDM) Regulations. This exciting position offers the opportunity to work for an innovative company who are expert at the provision of design solutions and technical guidance for the electric, gas and water industries. You will be based In Derbyshire but will need to travel to sites in Newcastle and Leeds when required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Project management and execution in line with best practice principles and recognised methodologies (e.g. Prince2)
- Completion of technology feasibility studies
- Specification and design of new manufacturing technologies and processes
- Providing technical documentation to support new manufacturing processes
- Qualification of new processes within the development and manufacturing environment
- Management of internal & external technical teams spread across multiple locations
- Regular reporting and updating of project plans dashboards
- Review of the technology landscape to enable the development of future technology platforms
- Identify and evaluate management and technology tools to optimise the development process
Main deliverables of the role:
- Project Management - managing budgets, coordinating internal and external technical activities, liaising with other functions (such as R&D), managing projects at various stages within the development pipeline
- Adherence to Construction Design & Management (CDM) principles on site
- Collaborating with stakeholders, suppliers and sub-contractors
- Generation of new ideas
Knowledge, skills and qualifications:
- Experience managing projects under Construction, Design & Management (CDM) is essential
- Familiar with Electrical Substations and 11kv and 33kv connections
- Electrical engineering background
- Knowledge of project planning and budgeting tracking tools, and experience of project planning
- Gas experience would be advantageous
- IT literacy – including project management and statistical packages
- Strong communication skills
Salary: £45,000
