The Company and the Role:
The Company is a leading supplier of security, time and attendance and communication solutions that include CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Fire Alarm, Electronic Article Surveillance, Staff Protection, Paging and Time and Attendance.
They are currently seeking a Regional Communications and Paging Engineer to cover an area stretching from Newcastle to Leicester. The role is permanent.
Key Features of the Role:
Reporting to the Communications Service Manager, you will be responsible for the installation of the Company`s proprietary Minder/Paging System across the region.
As the Regional Communications and Paging Engineer you will be part of a 3 person team on a call out rota, covering an area from Newcastle to Nottingham.
The Company`s customers include the NHS and The Home Office; therefore, you will be required to satisfactorily undergo DBS checks.
Knowledge and Skills:
You will be an accomplished Communications / IT Engineer with experience of communications and paging systems (equipment training will be provided by the company).
You must live within the area covered by the role. Somewhere in West Yorkshire would be ideal.
As the Regional Communications and Paging Engineer your day to day work will sent to you be via a Handheld PDA.
Ideally you will have in depth radio and electronics knowledge and experience to a component level not just experience with plug and play equipment.
Additional experience of having worked in the communications industry would be very beneficial.
You will ideally have some experience of CCTV and Intruder systems, additional experience of having worked in the security or communications industries which would be very beneficial.
The Company is supportive of ex-military personnel and therefore this role will appeal to someone who has served in the Royal Signals.
In terms of hardware, you should have a good knowledge of system installation and be highly competent in the use of hand and power tools.
As the Regional Communications and Paging Engineer it would be beneficial that you are familiar with TCP/IP, Ethernet Network and you should have an excellent knowledge of all Windows Operating Systems supported by sound IT knowledge and experience, and be IT/PC literate well versed in MS Office, Access etc.
What`s on Offer:
£22-28K per annum basic salary dependent upon your knowledge and skill set.
25 days holiday plus 8 statutory days.
This is a home-based role and you will be supplied with a Company Estate Car (Peugeot 306).
Other benefits include, Pension, Life assurance and medical insurance.
