Electrical Section Engineer

36.5 hours per week, will include some weekend working/overtime (DAY ROLE)
Salary £30,000 - £40,000 & Private Medical and 16% Pension
We are looking to appoint an Electrical biased Section Engineer who can lead, motivate, monitor and oversee electrical activities. managing a team of 6 you will be responsible for the safe, effective and maintenance of all plant and equipment within the department. Working alongside other Engineers reporting to the Department Engineer for Electrical Section Engineer will provide technical support and guidance on the various electrical systems, drives, PLC`s and ancillary plant supporting manufacturing operations and the shift engineering team as necessary.
Formulation, review ans revision of maintenance schedules ensuring compliance to maintenaance plans and delivery of equipment availability improvements as required in conjunction with the manufacturing teams. Setting the benchmark for engineering standards on site, lead and develop engineering performance and improvements.
To carry out this role you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
Working closely in collaboration with the manufacturing team and wider engineering team both on days and shifts to prioritise, direct and control activities where necessary, to ensure plant and equipment remains operational whilst ensuring high levels of safety health and quality compliance
Implement and drive a continual improvements plan in efficiency of equipment and maintenance activities on site, providing technical support.
Ensure all statutory and mandatory safety, health and environmental engineering standards are implemented and applied within area.
Identify and recommend innovative solutions to engineering problems and provide solutions to problems arising from equiment failures.
Strenthen the standards of engineering applied in the plant by monitoring the performance of the engineering teams and supervising manpower resources as required
provide engineering support to the plant in the design, submission, installation and commissioning of capital, major maintenance, stop period and revenue projects.
To be successful within this role you will ideally be:
The Jobholder will be educated to a minimum of ONC or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline or be an experienced time served craftsmen with relevant qualifications
A proven track record of supervision and management of engineering teams and equipment
You will be technically proficient engineers and IT literate
The ability to understand and deliver technically proficient engineering, working in conjunction with the manufacturingteam, directing and supervising The Company personnel and relevant contractors to deliver safe, efficient and timely work execution is essential
possess 17th Edition IEE Regulations Certification
We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, a good communicator with high evel of team work ability and be capable of delivering the full range of the company business needs and requirements framework tool set
Experience of bright drawing would be advantageous, but is not essential as training is given
