EB5041: HGV Class 1 Driver & Demonstrator
Salary: £9.00 - £11.00 per hour + £25.50 per night out
Location: Warrington, Cheshire
Position: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8 hours per day

The HGV Class 1 Driver & Demonstrator shall report to the Regional Rental Manager, the successful candidate will have a pivotal role in growing the company brand. This HGV Class 1 Driver & Demonstrator must serve the clients diverse customer network through long and short distance deliveries with multiple collects and deliveries. This is an exciting, customer facing, hands-on, physical role and you will need a high degree of self-motivation and commitment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- From checking load items, security and all necessary security equipment, paperwork and fuel cards are on board prior to leaving the depot.
- To collect and/or deliver products to and from clients across the UK.
- Inspection of trucks on delivery and collection.
- Provide product knowledge and give assistance to customer.
- Nights out will be required in line with, the business needs.
Qualifications / Experience:
Essential Skills
- 2 years minimum experience driving a Class 1 vehicle.
- Clean UK driving licence.
- Skilled, safe and confident driver.
- Good knowledge of driver hours and WTD regulations.
- Digital tachograph experience.
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Driver CPC.
- Good knowledge and understanding of handling heavy goods.
- Be capable of lifting and moving large packaging safely.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- An organised approach.
- An adaptive and flexible approach to work.
- Good level of numeracy and literacy.
Desirable Skills
- Preferably be RTITB or ITSARR accredited to drive forklifts.
- ADR Awareness
- Previous forklift / materials handling experience preferred.
