The Company and the Role:
The company is an expert in the field of logistics, lifting and associated management services to the communication and commercial market sectors.
Unlike their competitors the company is able to offer a full \"end to end\" logistical solution for their clients. They can Store, Deploy, Transport and position any complex heavy item into the location of their customers choice. They can take care of any Traffic Management or Road Closures in house. This allows them the unique ability to provide the client with a single point of contact throughout the UK, 365 days, 24/7.
They are currently seeking an additional Slinger Signaller- CPCS to work across sites in London and South East England. This is a permanent role.
Key Features of the Role:
You will supervise and lead field teams for delivery and installation of equipment on site.
As a Slinger/Signaller you will be responsible for assisting in the safe manoeuvring of vehicles around a site, and ensuring that the correct equipment/machinery is used in the subsequent loading and unloading of the vehicles.
Lift and shift skills (manual handling) may be required.
You will follow clear instructions.
UK travel to sites will be the norm.
Some out of hours and weekend working will be required.
You will be home based and will send and receive electronic instructions and reports.
Knowledge and Skills:
You should be an experienced Slinger Signaller with good mobile crane and lorry loader knowledge (lifting operations).
You should be CPCS certificated.
You should have good machine control skills - radio and hand skills.
You should have good lift and shift skills (manual handling) may be required.
You should be versatile and able to adapt to change.
You must be familiar with health and safety procedures relating to construction and transport and be committed to ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
You should be a professional Slinger Signaller with good customer facing skills and will need to be able to handle late client changes and instructions.
You will have excellent inter-personal skills and time management skills and able to work with minimal supervision but also as part of a team.
You will be IT / PC literate and should have a clean Full UK Drivers Licence.
What`s on Offer:
Salary will be in a range of £9.00 - £10.00 per hour depending upon experience. In addition there will be weekend overtime payments.
A company van and fuel will be supplied dependant on location along with a mobile phone allowance and there is a £50 lodging allowance when required.
Other benefits include 22 days` holiday plus bank and public holidays and after 12 months` service sickness benefit and a personal private healthcare package becomes available.
