Applications from suitably qualified ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army) will be particularly relevant for this position.

Main Purpose of role:

Carry out gas safety checks, complete domestic plumbing tasks and be competent in installations, breakdowns and servicing of boilers and making good any works completed.  The role is evenly split 50/50 Gas / Plumbing.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Provide the highest level of service at all times, ensuring all jobs are fully completed to the highest standard minimising recalls or post completion queries
  • Produce detailed and accurate quotes within the agreed SLA’s and communicate relevant job or project updates and information to the client/appropriate person in a timely manner
  • Constantly be aware of risk in the field where possible and to ensure any risks are immediately communicated to the OM for further guidance.  Operate in a safe and sensible manner at all times and in line with any company guidance on health and safety
  • Ensure required materials and parts are ordered in line with company guidelines from approved suppliers confirming they are available and delivered/collected to ensure time is used efficiently on all jobs
  • To promote the vision, values and corporate objectives of the business at all times, representing and valuing the 4Ps and abiding by all legislation and the Group’s policies, procedures, and ways of working according to best practice.
  • Core hours are Monday to Friday 8am (on site) to 6pm.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • CCN1, CKR1, HTR1, CENWAT and CPA1 (DAH1 and MET1 would be added bonus)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills and the ability work with people at all levels
  • Flexibility to working hours, on occasion late or weekend work, sometimes from home
  • Full UK Driving Licence
