In addition to their main office in Scandinavia they have offices in the Far East and the UK. As their UK office continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Managed Services Leader to be based in Bristol with a qualification from the Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) industry and experience in coordinating a team of Service Engineers who support our UK customers. The position is permanent.
Key Features of the Role:
You will have instrumental importance in co-ordinating and collating the timely resolution of incidents, events and problems logged so that the service levels are not breached. Co-ordination and involvement with the weekly scrum meetings and customer liaison will be a regular requirement. Within the role there will be the provision of ICT technical support service, including operating systems (Windows & Linux), RDBS (primarily SQL Server), 3rd party software (primarily VMware), proprietary software and networks (LAN/WAN).
The support will include the production of routine but important reports and necessary documentation for administration and invoicing purposes. Provision of technical and operational training to those both on-site and remotely particularly to their customers across the world on a 24/7 roster system.
As a key member of the team you will conduct installations, commissioning and setting-to-work activities to their global customer locations. This will also entail the important preventative and rectification maintenance to these same locations. The technical support will cover the service for: marine sensors including radar, radio, CCTV, AIS, etc. and to the in house marketing and sales departments.
A significant amount of time will be spent in Scandinavia, especially during the probationary period. Thereafter, extensive travel can be expected within UK and overseas including working offshore and at height.
Knowledge and Skills:
You will need the cross section of being a team player but also able to work alone. The main gauge for the successful will be from results achieved and actions undertaken coupled with good communication skills. Other essential requirements are: ITIL Practitioner with preferable skills in: CCNA and/or MCSE.
What`s on Offer:
Annual remuneration package of £30-35k depending upon your experience and skill set.
5% pension and other benefits which include 20 days holiday plus bank and public holidays, life insurance; parking, medical and dental insurance. A Car is negotiable.
