The Company and the Role:
The Company is looking for a Line Chef that wants to gain experience working for one of the top 10 Restaurants in Southampton. You will receive amazing training, coaching and career development opportunities with an award winning Brigade.
The Company is part of an independently owned niche and themed group of restaurants and has a Line Chef vacancy at their waterside marina venue based in Southampton.
Working in a vibrant, well known and highly rated restaurant (rated 4.5 out of 5 on Trip Advisor). There is realistic career progression and basic salary increases, through hard work and loyalty.
The business owner is looking to bring in a Chef with a keen restaurant interest, working with fresh and local produce where possible, rather than prepacked meals and re-heated meals.
Producing high quality food every time so that they can meet the expectation of their guests and repeat business patrons. Through 3 simple criteria, good honest fresh food, well priced value for money, and in a creative and themed environment offering excellent service.
The Company is offering a full time permanent restaurant Chef opportunity with support and training from the Sous Chef and Head Chef, working on menus with a British / European / Mediterranean influence.

The Company is seeking an ambitious and committed Line Chef with a passion for good food who is ready to continue developing their career in a growing restaurant group.
You will be a great team player with good organisational skills, with the ability to thrive in a very busy bar and restaurant, where the Company`s reputation for consistently preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to the right quality, is second to none.
You will be a valued member of the team assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef to produce the best quality results for every customer`s culinary experience, emulating the highest standards of food quality and consistency.
You will be working 50 hours per week across 5 days with a basic salary paid monthly. The restaurant opens for breakfast, lunchtime and evening service and can serve up to 80 covers.

Knowledge and Skills:
You should have current Line Chef / Cook / Station Chef experience within the catering and hospitality sector, either from a Restaurant / Branded Kitchen Venue / Gastro Pub or similar.
You should possess ambition to continually want to push yourself to move up to the next career level, and to gain new preparation, cooking skills and menu influences.
Your practical experience should ideally be supported by some form of catering qualification.
You should have a passion for producing the perfect dish every time, having a desire to aim for high standards, attention to detail is essential
You must be able to follow direction and advice to assist the kitchen in the day to day duties. Able to take feedback both negative and positive in a busy kitchen environment.
You will be an excellent team player who has experience of getting stuck in with all duties and responsibilities that busy kitchen has, no matter how menial or challenging.
You must be able to respectfully communicate to your team colleagues.

What`s on Offer?
Line Chef has a basic salary of around £16,500 - £17,000 depending upon experience and skill set plus tips.
Basic salary increases are available once trust, ability and skills have been shown to be an asset to the business.
Next step career progression to Sous Chef and onwards based on ability.
Open hours are 10:00am till 22:00pm.
You will work on a weekly rota basis.
28 days holiday, incorporating 2 weeks off at the beginning of January.
Full time permanent position
Opportunity to work in other venues within the group.
