Salary: £29,880 plus overtime
An opportunity has arisen to join a prestigious organisation who is very progressive in the underpinning and promotion of a vibrant legal community.
Applications from ex-military personnel i.e. Navy, Royal Air Force (RAF) or Army are strongly encouraged.
This position is ideally suited for a Senior Non Commissioning Officer (SNCO) including Warrant Officer (WO) or someone who is comfortable in performing ceremonial duties including meeting and greeting Very Important People.
Main Duties:
- This is a live-in uniformed position.
- You will be one of three Porters with whom shift work is shared.
- Whilst on duty, responsible for supervising day and night Security / Car Park personnel.
- Liaising with Police and ensuring premises are secure at all times.
- Responding to all emergencies within the grounds, controlling access during social. and official functions, remaining on call during quiet hours.
- Locking and unlocking premises when on duty.
- Responsible for the distribution of internal mail.
- First Aid cover
- After Hours Residents’ emergency call out.
Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:
- SNCO / WO or equivalent experience
- A good level of written and spoken English
- Experience of managing small teams
- Experience of dealing with members of the public
- IT literate
- Knowledge and experience of CCTV operating systems
- Experience of electronic door entry systems and software
- First Aid qualified

SALARY
Ranges between £28,000 and £30,000 depending on experience.
HOURS
The Porter will work 40-hour weeks.
