A leading UK Company specialising in heat treatment for the Aerospace, Medical and Motorsport industries have a requirement for Heat treatment Operators.
The Heat Treatment Operator role involves the use of heating or chilling, normally to extreme temperatures, to achieve hardening or softening of a material such as glass. proper heat treating requires control over temperature, time eld at a certain temperature and cooling rate.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn a highly sought after skill required by numerous industries.
This role requires shift work, 40 hours per week over a 3 shift rotation pattern that will include weekends every fortnight and and 07.00 start. Applicants must therefore have their own transport and not be reliant on public transport.

Main Duties and Responsibiltiies
Training is provided for all the below and can be paced to suit candidates abilties. A list of what the heat treatment operators is responsible for:
Using/operating furnaces under supervision of senior members of staff
Use of job card system, understanding, following quality details, choosing correct process routes and documenting equipment use on job card/route card
Making up loads, using relevant jigging and fixtures dependent on size/shape/geometry/orientation of customers work to enable efficient/effective use maximising furnace capacity
Putting loads into the furnace and activating process parameters (time and temperature). This applies to tempering furnaces also cleaning - mainly work area but also production - related equipment
Basic bulk work testing - Testing work (with hardness testers) that has bee processed to ensure it has reacted as expected and meets customer specifications
Finishing - ensuring completed work is clean/packaged suitably and marked up (traceability) ready for our customer transport
Simple Plant Maintenace and maintenance of the shop environment
