The Company and the Role:
The Company is a family owned and operated company providing vehicle rental and management for nearly 50-years. They have a diverse range of over 14,500 vehicles ranging from cars, standard and specialist LCVs and HGVs, plant and buggies, and ATVs. Our client also has the largest 4x4 fleet in Europe as well as the biggest rental selection of HGV tippers; crane lorries and buggies in the UK.
Currently seeking a Rental Standards Agent to be based at their depot in Norfolk. The position is permanent.
Key Features of the Role:
Inspecting vehicles before they go on hire to ensure they meet rentable standards and on their return from customers to determine any additional damage or items missing and classify its state of readiness for future hire.
The role requires that all genuine recharge opportunities reported both mechanical and bodywork are captured, documented and passed on to the customer within the timelines provided.
The successful candidate will be required to carry out a short road test after the inspection to further help in determining its future classification.
You will ensure all assets are classified in line with business objectives and booked onto the Kerridge system.
Knowledge and Skills:
To be successful in this role you must be accomplished Rentable Standards Agent with experience of working with LCV and HGV vehicles and have a proven track record of working in the industry after apprenticeship/training completion.
You will be experienced in vehicle inspections and have the ability to communicate with stakeholder`s face to face and over the telephone.
The role would suit a candidate with a proven track record of carrying out vehicle inspections, ideally in motor industry and/or vehicle hire sector (Auto Repairs, Damage Recharge Agent, Vehicle Returns Inspector).
You will hold a full UK driving licence including Category C and have a good understanding of vehicle technology to identify defects which prohibit a vehicle from being roadworthy and its ancillary equipment from being unsafe to use.
You will hold a good standard of both written and spoken English.
What`s on Offer:
Basic salary is £23k per annum depending on experience based on a 40 hour contract but actually work a 45 hour week Monday - Friday 8am - 5.30pm with Saturday mornings until 12 when required. You will receive 20-22 days` holiday plus bank and public holidays plus company pension and free site parking.
