Description :

The UK’s leading ex-military recruitment consultancy, Forces Recruitment Services (FRS) is seeking to appoint Associate Recruitment Consultants. Based in Witchford, Cambridgeshire FRS is at the cutting edge of ex-military recruitment and is keen to hear from individuals looking to establish a unique career within the recruitment industry.

This is NOT a sales position, however some training will be given in negotiation to ensure the successful applicant can manage existing client accounts and review Terms of Business.

Working within a fast-paced and target-focussed environment, the role of the Associate Recruitment Consultant will be varied. However, key duties will include:

  • Creating client and client contact records within the FRS client management system.
  • Uploading new client vacancy details to the FRS database, ensuring conducting briefs with clients to fully understand their requirements;
  • Preparing job descriptions in readiness for advertising and uploading to the FRS database;
  • Liaising with the FRS resourcing team to discuss advertising and candidate search criteria;
  • Reviewing and evaluating candidate applications as submitted by the resourcing team;
  • Carrying out phone-based interviews of shortlisted candidates and add interview notes to the candidate record. Add / amend precis to be included within the candidate application form;
  • Conducting compliance and QA checks prior to submission to client;
  • Submitting candidate applications to clients for consideration;
  • Providing application updates and feedback to both rejected and shortlisted candidates;
  • Liaising with candidates to arrange interviews as instructed by clients;
  • Carrying out preparation interview with candidates prior to client-facing interviews;
  • Debriefing candidates and clients following interviews;
  • Obtaining references for candidates as requested / instructed by clients;
  • Supporting candidates and clients throughout offer and acceptance stages;
  • On successful placement of an FRS candidate, close off vacancy records ensuring all necessary compliance checks have been carried out and documented;
  • Maintaining dialogue with candidates and clients following placement.

This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities as you may be required to carry out additional tasks as reasonably requested by the management team.

  • A professional approach acknowledging the importance of attention to detail.  
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to interact with a range of different personalities.
  • An ability to quickly build rapport and develop sustained relationships with both candidate and client throughout the recruitment process.
  • Must possess excellent IT skills with experience in using MS Outlook, Word and Excel. You will also have familiarity with a number of social media platforms and the ability to be trained on internal systems.

The Package

  • £17,000 + Uncapped Commission (OTE - £25,000 + Bonus)
