HQ3985 Vehicle Technician (BMW)
Salary: £23,000 (£30,000 achievable On-Target Earnings)

A major automobile retailer group has a requirement for a Vehicle Technician to be based at their Tunbridge Wells site, specialising in BMW. It is essential the Vehicle Technician is a time-served mechanic and/or holds NVQ qualifications to Level 3. Ideally, applicants will be VOSA-approved MOT Testers but this is not essential. Main dealer experience is preferable but not essential. Experience in diagnosing and carrying out repairs on BMWs would also be an advantage.
Applications are encouraged from ex-military applicants who have gained essential mechanical engineering experience whilst serving and subsequent dealership experience since leaving the Services.

Be experienced in using modern diagnostic equipment;

Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
Possess prior experience of working to efficiency targets;
Possess a full UK driving license.
Responsibilities:
This role requires commitment to approaching all activity in a professional and safe manner. Duties include:
Inspecting, servicing, repairing and testing of BMWs;
Planning and prioritising work in order to complete on time;
Carrying out routine inspections to diagnose repairs or work required;
Ensuring parts are available if required to carry out repairs;
Upholding company standards and provide exceptional customer service.
As a Technician, you will support other Technicians in a busy environment and have the support of the brand to ensure knowledge and skills are up-to-date.
Salary:
Salary comprises a £23,000 basic with £30,000 realistic on-target earnings, boosted by a monthly efficiency bonus. Further details on the bonus structure will be provided at interview stage.
Hours:
Vehicle Technicians work 40-hour weeks with a 0800 start between Monday and Friday with Saturday mornings worked on a rota basis.
