Description: |
Our client is a Global Defence company, with an EMEA HQ based in Coventry, specialising in supplying rugged mobile computing solutions, primarily to the Military, Paramilitary, Government Agencies and the Security Services.
We currently have an immediate vacancy for a Defence Sales Manager to work within the existing team structure. There will be established UK and overseas business relationships to develop and new business opportunities to capture and exploit. The role involves the management of an existing internal support structure to service dedicated accounts and new business activities. A successful candidate would be responsible for pre and post sales support, generation of proposals and quotations, the completion of tenders, training and general account management. Good communications skills are essential, as the post involves contact with a wide range customers at all levels, during meetings, telephone conversations and E-Mail correspondence.
The position provides a varied and rewarding role, involving travel both in the UK and overseas, including the requirement to participate in a number of equipment exhibitions, again both at home and abroad.
This position is field based, supported from the Coventry office and candidates will be encouraged to plan their own activities in the office or working from home. Home working package provided (Broadband / Telephone / PC etc.).
Requirements:
• Product Sales or Sales to military Customers is essential
• Good IT skills
• Good network within the Armed Forces & Security community
• Excellent sense of humour and a get up and go attitude
• Excellent networking, presentation and relationship skills
• Confident self starter
In return you will be provided with a good basic salary but more importantly you will receive commission based off your monthly sales turnover. A monthly car allowance is also provided or the option for a company car. Other benefits such as pension, health care etc are provided after a qualification period.
