Description: |
Our client is a global leader in the world of power generation. They supply and integrate all components of a clean power solution - from boilers, air quality control and energy recovery systems. They also have extensive experience in retrofitting, upgrading, refurbishing and modernising existing power plant equipment.
They seek a Test Engineer to work at their Rugby Facility.
THE ROLE
You will be working on a range of test rigs and production components. The types of work undertaken include:- aerodynamic performance measurements, rotordynamics measurements and mechanical tests.
You will be required to take a job from test specification to a completed. This will encompass:
*test and rig design *instrument application, calibration and setup, *rig test, analysis and reporting *related project management and liaison with suppliers, purchasing and other departments within the business.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
*HND/degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related subject; *Sound understanding of engineering fundamentals, with particular emphasis on dynamics; *Practical hands-on engineering skills; *Relevant experience in testing rotating machinery, instrumentation, data acquisition or signal processing would be an advantage; *Dynamic, resourceful, flexible with good communications skills; *Clean driving license *Fluent written and spoken English *Physically fit
Additionally, regular communication and occasional visits would be expected with other technical experts both outside the company and within its global engineering centres, especially in Europe. Good communication, presentation and integration skills are essential in this international environment.
SALARY/PACKAGE/OVERVIEW
Salary is between £23,000 and £27,000 dependent upon experience.
