Job Title: Instrumentation Technician Job Type: Permanent Location: Rugby, Warwickshire Salary: £18,000 - £25,000 dep on exp
Our client is a global leader in the world of power generation. They supply and integrate all components of a clean power solution - from boilers, air quality control and energy recovery systems. They also have extensive experience in retrofitting, upgrading, refurbishing and modernising existing power plant equipment.
They seek Instrumentation Technicians to join their Aero and Mechanical Test Department in Rugby.
THE ROLE
You will provide instrumentation application services for both in-house test facilities and external contract work.
The work involves instrumentation of test components/engines and assisting with tests both at Rugby and other sites, often overseas.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
You must be knowledgeable about or have experience in:
* High temperature techniques
* Rotating instrumentation
* Rakes and traversing probes
* Strain gauging
* Ability to work to engineering drawings and documents
* Mechanical assembly of precision components.
Additionally, regular communication and occasional visits would be expected with other technical experts both outside the company and within its global engineering centres, especially in Europe.
Good communication, presentation and integration skills are essential in this international environment.
SALARY/PACKAGE/OVERVIEW
Salary is between £23,000 and £27,000 dependent upon experience.
